Established in 1987, Shoft has emerged as a leading private shipyard on the west coast of India, managed by Naval Architects and Engineers.
Located on the banks of river Narmada, it is 9 Nautical Miles upstream from the open sea (Gulf of Khambat) between Bharuch and Dahej, Gujarat.
The Registered head office is at Wagle Industrial Estate, Thane, Mumbai, India.
The name Shoft is derived from ‘SHip & OutFiT’, as it primarily focused on the manufacturing of ship outfit items at inception. It diversified into turnkey contract shipbuilding which then grew into a full-fledged Shipyard. The shipyard is well connected by Road, Rail and Air.
Ship outfit items manufacturing, indigenous development of shipborne equipment and systems etc. is hived of to a group company Shoft Industries Pvt. Ltd. (SIPL) located in the Industrial belt at Thane, Maharashtra
Industrial License for the construction of Warships & Auxiliary vessels awarded by Govt of India in 2013 and upgraded in 2018
Constructed and delivered over 80 vessels Shoft is an ISO 9001, 14001-2015 and ISO 45001-2018 DNV Certified shipyard
Current build capacity allows simultaneous construction of 9 – 12 vessels of varying sizes up to 180m length and a launch weight of up to 6600 tonnes
Over the years, Shoft consolidated its assets and nurtured a great workforce, evolving into a full-fledged medium-sized shipyard with supporting infrastructure with products meeting Global Standards
In 2004, established its shipyard and commenced independent operations at Bharuch, Gujarat
Shoft was initially engaged in multiple shipbuilding projects as turnkey contractors, working concurrently at many geographically displaced locations of client shipyards
